Revealing the secrets no one told you about
It took me roughly 3 years to realize this...
And I kick myself I didn't see it sooner. I don't want you to make the same mistake is why I'm finally spilling the beans.
After growing my Medium audience to over 60k followers, and speaking to some of the brightest minds in entrepreneurialism (Marc Randolph, Ev Williams, Justin Welsh) I noticed that there are 3 things that separate people and businesses that can tell an effective story to market themselves and their business and those who cannot.

Secret 1: Use YOUR unique story to make THE READER the hero
This might sound confusing, but I promise you it’s not.
The problem most individuals and businesses make is they talk about how great they are. They say things like:
Our product does [FILL IN THE BLANK]
This article is great because it [FILL IN THE BLANK]
You should see what we’re doing because [FILL IN THE BLANK]
The critical error, here, is that none of these statements talk about the most important person in the room: the person who is going to interact with the content, product, or service.
In short: people don’t care how great you are. They care about how great your business will be for them.
And there’s a tactic I like to use to help you reorganize your business and content using this lens.
Secret 2: Reprogram how you see (and write) content
Storytelling isn’t just about the words you write.
Now, that’s a vital part of the equation, sure. But did you know that how you write the content has as much (if not more) to do with the success of it resonating with your reader as what you write?
This comes as a shock to many of the students I’ve worked with in the past.
This small (but impactful) fix to content has helped many of our past students increase their online audience and increase overall sales of their products and services.
Why?
Because publishing content and offers through this lens helps the reader know everything they're getting.
When you reduce confusion – you increase conversion.
Secret 3: Six-Stage Magic
